EXPLORE STORIESIntroduction
I am a documentary photographer based in Kolkata, India. I photograph people, work, culture, faith and everyday life, with much of my work rooted in Bengal and rural India.
I often return to the same places more than once. I spend time with people, listen to their stories and watch how life changes around them. Some photographs happen in a moment; others take years to arrive. For me, photography is not only about making a picture. It is about being present long enough to understand something about the person or place in front of the camera.
